Cameron is born

My nephew Cameron George is here!

Joanne gave birth to Cameron George by C Section at 2.03pm weighing 6lb 12oz!
Both mother and baby doing well.
Joanne had a spinal anaesthetic and got on fine with the delivery. Cameron started to cry as soon as he was born and began to breastfeed quite quickly on return to the ward from recovery.
Joanne was given morphine via her spinal and seemed quite comfortable when mum and i went to visit in the afternoon. Cameron was only 2 hours old when we met, he is a beautiful baby with a lovely little face. He had a small amount of fair hair and long fingers!
I loved meeting my new nephew!
In the late afternoon, Joanne lost some more blood so her IV fluids were speeded up and she had some bloods taken which had dropped at bit but were stable.
She felt a bit better after that.
In the evening her colour was better and seemed comfortable.
Dad, Mum and i went to visit in the evening also.

25 weeks today

Tuesday 28th October Owen 25 weeks today!
Health visitor came today and thought that Owen was doing very well.
He is now 66cm in length and weighs 18lb 14.5oz!
He was laughing when i laid him on weighing scales and she thought he was such a content, happy baby.
Ross will be 2 years old in a couple of weeks, don't know where the time has gone! It doesn't seem like 5 mins since he was a tiny baby!
He is putting a few words together now, and saying bang bang and go when running about. Will look for his birthday presents in the next week or so.

John and i took the boys to B C Fayre today for a look around. I had a nice rockcake and milky coffee and john had a couple of pancakes with a coffee also. Ross had his juice and some of his daddy's pancake. We were getting on fine until Ross spotted a car behind a display. He thought he'd be able to climb in the car but he couldn't get behind the bars...huge temper tantrum followed!!......lots of tears and crying which didn't stop until we left!!
After we went to the park which he enjoyed. Owen went on the swing for the first time and loved it, he was laughing alot!! He also liked the whobbly horse

Had a lovely time this week with John on holiday. I went to see Mama mia with mum again on Wednesday afternoon which was very good, we saw it when it first came out and we both really enjoyed seeing it again. Mum and Dad came round for tea on Thursday night and i made prawn and salmon lasagne which they enjoyed. We then had pears and icecream.
On Friday, i took mum and joanne to Inverness shopping which was lovely. We went to the mustard seed for lunch and joanne and i had chicken frittata followed by chicken on a parsnip puree which was very tasty. Mum had peanut noodles then pork which she enjoyed also. Joanne was 23 weeks pregnant this week or 24 going my her scan. Her bump is getting bigger, she is getting some hip/buttock pain, hopefully it'll get better soon. I bought Ross some pyjamas, a nice blue shirt and a jumper. Joanne bought Owen a couple of nice tops.
SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER
Mum and Dad came round to babysit Owen so John and I could take Ross to the Rainbow Castle. We went at 2pm and had a good time.
Afterwards we had coffee and walnut cake with mum and dad.
Tonight, Joanne and Chris are babysitting so John and I can go to the Sunninghill for a meal at 8pm and then for a few drinks. We are looking forward to our night out.
We had a lovely meal. I had a large mushroom with haggis, leeks and bacon which was served with a whisky sauce and then i had lobster theridor which was lovely. I had 2 glasses of red wine with the meal. John had potato and leek soup then duck with orange and sherry sauce. He had a couple of beers with the meal. We then went to the cooperage and i had a bud and then went to the thunderton and i had a couple more buds and john had smirnoff ice. We went home at 11.15 as didn't want to be too late for jo and chris. They loved babysitting the boys.
